The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey
In 2015 I debuted this solo performance piece at Dixon Place in NYC and later went onto perform it Off Broadway and then laster at various regional theaters around the country. It feels like time to revisit this work in light of all the challenges that LGBTQ+ young people are facing and as a reminder that an individual just being themselves is the greatest gift to the world. I’m open to performing for smaller venues and community gatherings as a way of moving the conversation closer to understanding that the time has come for us to stand not only with LGBTQ+ youth, but with ALL with young people!
